The building

The building is originally from the sixteenth century, and it was born D. Pedro del Hoyo, secretary of King FELIPE II, and royal magistrate. It was renewed and expanded at the end of the 19th century, and now it has been subjected to a reform that conserves its spirit and is fully adapted to the demands and comforts of the 21st century.

The inn is located right at the crossroads of the Camino de Santiago along the coast, with the Camino Real which in the Middle Ages linked the ports of Cantabria with Castile.
